This Privacy Policy explains what information Studio NEA.R. collects from visitors to www.studionear.co and www.nearforartists.com (the “Sites”), how that information is used, and your rights in relation to it. NEA.R. is a sole proprietorship registered in Washington State.
1. Who This Policy Applies To
This policy applies to all visitors to the Sites, regardless of location, including visitors based in the European Union and European Economic Area (EU/EEA). If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), described in Section 7 below.
2. What Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
When you use the contact form on either Site, you may submit your name and email address. This information is sent to Studio NEA.R. via the form provider and received in our business email (Zoho Mail). We do not store contact form submissions in any separate database.
If you sign up for the mailing list on nearforartists.com, your email address is collected and stored by Squarespace, the platform hosting that site. Studio NEA.R. does not currently send newsletter communications, and this list is not actively used.
If you use a scheduling link to book a call with Studio NEA.R. (via a third-party tool such as Calendly, if in use), that tool may collect your name, email address, and any information you provide when booking. Please refer to that tool’s own privacy policy for details.
Information Collected Automatically
The Sites use Google Analytics to collect anonymized data about how visitors interact with the Sites. This may include your approximate location (country or city level), browser type, device type, pages visited, and time spent on the Sites. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Google Analytics uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to collect this data. By using the Sites, you consent to the use of these cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time by using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Squarespace (hosting nearforartists.com) and Carrd (hosting studionear.co) may also collect basic technical data such as IP addresses and page views as part of their standard platform operations. Studio NEA.R. does not control this data collection. Please refer to Squarespace’s and Carrd’s respective privacy policies for details.
3. How We Use Your Information
Studio NEA.R. uses the information collected solely for the following purposes:
• To respond to enquiries submitted through the contact form
• To manage scheduling of calls or consultations
• To understand how visitors use the Sites and improve their content and structure (via Google Analytics)
• To maintain records of clients and prospective clients for business purposes, including tracking communications, payment schedules, and project notes
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage and Retention
Contact form enquiries received by email are stored within our Zoho Mail account for as long as reasonably necessary for business purposes. Client information (name, email, payment details, and project notes) may be stored in internal business records — such as a spreadsheet or document — for the duration of the client relationship and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping purposes.
If you would like your information deleted from our records, you can request this at any time by contacting us at the email address listed in Section 9. We will action deletion requests promptly and confirm when complete.
5. Cookies
The Sites use cookies primarily through Google Analytics. A cookie consent notice may be displayed on your first visit to the Sites. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some features on the Sites.
Studio NEA.R. does not use advertising cookies or social media tracking pixels.
6. Third-Party Services
The Sites interact with the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
• Squarespace — website hosting (nearforartists.com)
• Carrd — website hosting (studionear.co)
• Google Analytics — website analytics
• Stripe — payment processing for clients

Studio NEA.R. is not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services.
7. Your Rights (Including EU/EEA Visitors)
Regardless of your location, you have the right to:

• Request correction of any inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Withdraw consent to data processing at any time (where processing is based on consent)
If you are located in the EU or EEA, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Our lawful basis for processing personal data under GDPR is legitimate interest (for analytics and business records) and consent (for the mailing list signup on nearforartists.com).

8. Children’s Privacy
The Sites are not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of www.studionear.co and www.nearforartists.com (the “Sites”), operated by NEA.R., a sole proprietorship based in Seattle, Washington, USA. By accessing or using the Sites, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Sites.
